Welcome to WUZDA
The programme Manager is the head of administration and take most of the instructions from the Board of Advisors who determine programmes and policies agreed upon by the general assembly during general meetings. WUZDA is utilizing human centred activities that brings the attention of people to get to the realization that their development and future must be driven largerly by their own efforts to galvanize local resources to develop their communities. Research has been the tool use to solicit information from communities, while community/district action plans are develop to facilitate preparations of actions that target the needs of community members. Several interventions have been developed the past five (5) years ago that help in facilitating development and implementation of priority projects activities targeting communities in Tamale metrpolis, Nanumba north and Nanumba south, all located in the northern region of Ghana.

Programme Manager (WUZDA)
The idea behind the creation of the Wuni Zaligu Development Association (WUZDA) came from the founders value for social justice. The organisation was born in 1992, aimed at alleviating poverty in the Northern Region of Ghana through research and advocacy. WUZDA has now been officially incorporated into the registration of companies and was given the certificate to commence business in 2004.
Our Mission:
To develop effective strategies that are community driven to enhance the capabilities and potential of vunerable groups and the excluded. These groups are trained to access and demand their rights from the government and other public providers. Areas often tackled are the provision of health care, education, water, sanitation and transport.
Our Vision:
Helping to ensure that at least those who had no adequate voice and therefore are somehow neglected, through WUZDA's intervention now begin to recieve attention and have their share of the national cake, through efficent community development strategies, facilitating and promoting a society of a just world.

Nanumba south gender desk development officer standing close infront of double screw cassava pulp presser in Kadjeso. The presser was donated by a German volunteer who partnered WUZDA in the attempt to assist the Kadjeso women gari processors with equipments to increase productivity in order to enhance their incomes, as a poverty reduction tool to support their efforts in livelihood support initiatives in the community.
(See picture below) Close to the cassava pulp double screw presser with its manual is the district coordinator (Ibrahim Abdul-Ganiyu), On looking is the volunteer (Ricarda Grauel) and Programme Manager (Abdul-Karim Ziblim) immediately before the presentation ceremony in Kadjeso. Also present is the district MoFA deputy director, the Wulensi constituency NPP chairman and some staff of the district assembly, community development including the social welfare.
